for first-time applicants, including:
- Application Manuals (General & Supplemental, as applicable)
- Application Processing
- IC&RC Exam Fee (for applicable credentials)
- Two Years of Certification (once approved)
- In-Person Testing Option
– Take your IC&RC exam at a certified testing center in Arizona (Phoenix or Flagstaff). Testing centers provide a secure and professionally proctored environment.
This option applies to all of the following ABCAC credentials:
- CAC
– Certified Addiction Counselor
- CADAC
– Certified Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor
- AADC
– Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor
- CCS
– Certified Clinical Supervisor
- CPRS
– Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
- CCJP
– Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional
- CPS
– Certified Prevention Specialist
Each credential has unique education, experience, and exam requirements. The IC&RC exam type varies by credential (ADC, PR, CCS, PS, CCJP), but all are available for in-person delivery.
