Request an IC&RC International Certificate
If you're currently certified by ABCAC at the reciprocal level, you may be eligible to receive an internationally recognized credential through the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC).
What Is an International Certificate?
The IC&RC International Certificate is a globally recognized credential that mirrors your ABCAC-issued certification. It is not a standalone certification, but rather an extension of your current license or credential through an IC&RC Member Board.
Your International Certificate will carry the same expiration date as your existing ABCAC credential.
How to Apply
To request an IC&RC International Certificate:
- Confirm your eligibility with ABCAC.
You must hold a valid, reciprocal-level certification (e.g., CADAC, AADC, CCS, CPS, CCJP, CPRS). - Gather your current ABCAC certificate.
You will need to upload this as proof of eligibility. - Complete the official IC&RC Order Form.
You will choose your certification type and submit a $30 fee for each certificate requested.
Available International Certificates
- ICADC – Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor
- ICAADC – Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor
- ICCS – Internationally Certified Clinical Supervisor
- ICPS – Internationally Certified Prevention Specialist
- ICCJP – Internationally Certified Criminal Justice Professional
- ICPR – Internationally Certified Peer Recovery
- ICPR-A – Internationally Certified Peer Recovery – Associate
Fee: $30.00 per certificate
Requests with incomplete information or missing documentation will not be processed and fees are non-refundable.
